Sambuddhathwa Jayanthi Library project
Under our Sambuddhathwa Jayanthi programme we have started a Buddhist library in Mawita Dhamma school. This is a public library where the Dhamma school students of the area get free membership.
Also we donated Dhamma books and a library cupboard worth Rs.75000/= to each of the 21 Dhamma schools in the Neluwa Divisional Secretariat division. A computer unit with 4 computers was also donated to Mawita Dhamma School. Mrs.Ramani de Zoysa sponsord for the computer unit and Mr.Buddika Abesinghe donated $3500.00 for the library project. The whole project costs us 2.2 million SLR.
Also we laid foundation stones on this same occasion for the proposed pre-school building for Mawita.
We had a function on the 13th instant and Hon. Prim Minister graced the occasion.
